Character Design
I'm proud of my children :).

Wheel
It's a robot character design for my thesis game which is used to dash and break walls.
Because of its purpose, the model started as a hammer. But the idea was too superficial. Eventually, I turned it into a wheel for a smarter design, and the shape of it resembles that of an eye, which is more artistic in style.

A jumper robot. I was inspired by Tall Bird from Don’t Starve and real-life frogs, so I gave it long legs and big feet. Later on, it dawned on me that this robot resembles a designer’s Alien Lemon Squeezer, but mine is more artistic and more vibrant.

Flish (Fly Fish)
My thesis was in need of something that could fly. I thought about batoids, dragonflies, and dandelions. Yet batoid’s contour felt more modern and alien. Also, making models for exoskeletons was my specialty, so I made a Flish (flying fish) based on batoids, turning its tail into a spine. I look forward to animating it.

The Minion
The minion robot was designed to serve my thesis’ storytelling. It needs to be deconstructed, reconstructed, and at the same time, show its core to the player. The story dictates that the minion robot has to look clumsy but move relatively lithe when moving so I created this design (even though a lot of people told me it looked like a rice cooker…).
